Our Wedding – A Celebration of Duality
18.09.2024.
Glamour & Simplicity, Flow & Intention
If our wedding could be described in one word, it would be duality.
We dreamed of a day that was both glamorous and simple. Sincere, yet free from unnecessary show. A celebration full of joy and music, but also gentle enough to allow rest. A farm wedding that still felt like a fairytale. A day that flowed naturally, while quietly following a thoughtful plan. A space where we could truly be with each other, and also with all those we love.
Our Day Unfolded Like This:
14:00 Arrival, snacks and drinks
15:00 Meet-and-greet game
16:00 Walk to the ceremony site with Livino and Sahara (our dog Džera proudly carried the rings 🐾) We shared our vows and officially signed our promises
Group photo on the hill in the horse pasture, Mini photoshoot on the way back
18:00 Dinner and warm drinks
19:00 Live music
21:00 Cake
23:00 Lights off, bodies resting, hearts full
And somehow, it felt perfectly complete.
The Most Beautiful Decision
The best decision we made was to celebrate our wedding at home.
Yes, it meant a lot of preparation. Endless cleaning. Working around a half-finished barn filled with construction materials. Until the very last moment, we didn’t quite know how everything would turn out. But this uncertainty made the outcome even more magical.
Our deepest gratitude goes to our dear friends — Matilde, Kristīne and Baiba — true fairies who transformed an old cowshed into a luminous, elegant and enchanting celebration space. What once echoed with farm life became a warm, luxurious gathering place filled with light, flowers and laughter.
What Made It Truly Special
By celebrating at home, our entire family — including our animals — became part of the day. Our dog, five cats and horses were naturally present, free, and integrated into the celebration.
One especially touching moment was when Livino de Gredos, the gentleman horse I raised myself, carried me 400 meters from our home to the ceremony site on the hill. Calm, proud, and steady — completely unbothered by my dramatic, flowing dress that reached almost to his knees. It was a moment of profound tenderness, connection, and gratitude.

A Day That Felt Like Ours
There was dancing. There was laughter. There were quiet moments too — gentle conversations, soft embraces, time to truly breathe. No rush. No pressure. Just presence.
It was not about perfection.
It was about authenticity.
And it felt exactly like us.
A celebration of love, home, nature, and the quiet beauty of doing things in our own way!
