Production Time
Our studio is run by two potters, and every piece is handmade — crafted entirely without jiggers or industrial machinery.
Due to the nature of ceramics, the estimated production time for a small order is a minimum of 4 weeks from the start of production. This timeframe may extend depending on the season, order size, and studio workload.
We value transparency and will always provide an honest and realistic estimate for your order.
On average, we produce around 300 small to medium-sized pieces per month. Each item undergoes a meticulous four-stage process — drying, first firing, glazing, and final firing — which together require at least 4 weeks to complete.

Handcrafted Nature
Minor variations in size, shape, and colour are a natural characteristic of handmade ceramics and are to be expected.
For tableware, a size variation of up to 2 cm is considered acceptable for our handcrafted pieces.
We take great care to ensure that all pieces sold within a set are as closely matched as possible, though an exact match to items you already own cannot be guaranteed.
Many of our glazes are special-effect glazes, which means the matte, gloss, or texture may vary slightly from piece to piece — part of what makes each item truly unique.
Every piece is handmade by our small but mighty team of two women, Laima and Oksana, in our bright countryside studio in Latvia, surrounded by peace, nature, and creative energy.
Explore our Archive — a showcase of collections created over the past 12 years of crafting functional, artisan pottery for restaurants, galleries, and design lovers around the world.
Each piece is entirely handmade using one of the following traditional techniques:
Slab rolling – used for plates and open bowls in a variety of sizes
Wheel throwing – for cups, mugs, bowls, teapots, jugs, carafes, vases, and more
Coiling & hand-building – ideal for light objects, large-scale floor vases, and flower planters
Slip casting – used for the Yutori range, allowing for refined shapes and consistent forms while preserving the handmade feel
Maker’s Mark & Collaborations
Each piece carries the blessing “Laima”, meaning “Happiness” in Latvian — the name of both our brand and our founder, Laima Piliņa.
Every item is signed with our 10 mm circular maker’s mark/logo, symbolizing authenticity and craftsmanship.
For collaborations, we can apply an additional stamp on the base featuring the text:
“Special Edition for / & / for” — personalized with your brand name.
Please send us your brand vector file according to our specifications so that our in-house graphic designer can develop the collaboration stamp design.
The wooden stamp production and design fee is €100, in addition to the logo application fee (+10% of order total).
Stamp & Logo Specifications
Circular logo: diameter 1.2–2 cm
Rectangular brand name: maximum 3 cm length, height 0.6–1 cm
⚠️ Important:
The stamp must be small enough to press easily into semi-hard clay.
For larger items (such as plates), a bigger stamp is possible — up to 4 cm in either direction.
Please ensure that no design elements are smaller than 2 mm, as finer details may not reproduce clearly in clay.
Contact us to discuss your design and place your order — we’ll guide you through preparing your logo file for production.
Please note:
We do not offer our existing Laima Ceramics designs as white-label products.
Each collection carries its own distinct design value and creative identity, and Laima Ceramics stands for craftsmanship, authenticity, and meaningful design.
However, for larger productions, we are happy to provide design development support and help you create a unique line tailored to your brand. (See information below.)

1. Co-Branding of Existing Collections
We do not offer full private labelling of our existing Laima Ceramics collections (Yutori, Stone, etc.), as these form the core of our studio’s creative work.
However, we do offer co-branding, where your brand name can appear alongside ours for a 10% fee on the order total.
This option is ideal for boutique retailers or interior studios who wish to present Laima Ceramics pieces within their brand story while maintaining transparency of origin.

For brands that already have their own product designs, sketches, or technical drawings, we offer full sampling and production support.
