Natural forms created by time, weather, and the quiet patience of the forest. Rather than imposing shape, we preserve and honour the curves, contours, and irregularities of the original wood — letting nature remain visible in every line.
Crafted from sustainably sourced material, the trays are made exclusively from fallen trunks and roots — wood that has been shaped by windstorms, lightning, or river washouts. Nothing is taken from living trees; every piece begins with what nature has already given.
The surfaces are waxed three times for a smooth, food-safe finish.
Our wax polish is certified safe for children’s toys and direct food contact, ensuring these trays are both beautiful and practical for everyday use.
Hand-carved in Latvia by the husband-and-wife team Sandra & Dainis, each tray is truly one of a kind. Their process embraces the wildness of the material — roots, natural hollows, knots, and weathered edges become part of the design. Because of this, no two pieces could ever be recreated.
These trays move beyond functional tableware into sculptural stories of wood and place.
You can feel the history within every grain: wood that once lived, weathered the seasons, and endured the elements, now transformed into a vessel that honours its origin rather than conceals it.
Because every tray retains the natural outline of the wood, each will have its own unique dimensions. We measure the maximum length and width at any point of the piece.
