Statement Piece · Crater Lava Glaze
This monumental floor vase is more than a vessel — it is a sculptural presence.
A grounded form that feels as though it has risen directly from volcanic earth, carrying the memory of fire, mineral and time within its textured skin. Created to stand quietly yet powerfully in space, it anchors a room with calm, elemental strength.
The surface is finished in a rich crater lava glaze — deeply tactile, dramatic, and alive with movement. Rugged ridges and crevices catch light and shadow in ever-changing ways, revealing a dialogue between raw geological force and refined artistic intention.
Rooted in a natural beige-white palette, this piece harmonises beautifully with soft, earthy interiors — from linen-draped spaces and pale plaster walls to wabi-sabi homes that honour warmth, restraint, and organic simplicity. Its tone evokes coastal stone, sun-faded clay, and the quiet elegance of unhurried living.
Formed slowly by hand using the traditional coiling technique, this vessel is crafted from stoneware and high-fired to achieve strength, durability, and a non-porous finish.
Designed with three discreet drainage holes in the base, it may be used as a sculptural planter for olive trees, architectural grasses, or wild botanical compositions. For use as a vase, we recommend placing a smaller watertight container inside.
A bold statement for interiors that value presence, texture, and soulful form.
Height: 54 cm / approx. 21.3 in
Diameter: 46 cm / approx. 18.1 in
Base diameter: 24 cm / approx. 9.4 in
Weight: approx. 16 kg / 35 lbs
Each piece is completely unique, with organic variations in surface, texture, and form — a result of its slow, hand-built process.
