"SAKURA" Pink Glossy — Glaze Powder
A glossy pastel pink glaze with a soft, delicate character.
When applied in an even coat — for example, by pouring the glaze inside a cup or bowl — Sakura produces a smooth, even pink tone. On exterior surfaces, experimenting with thinner and thicker application creates beautiful variations, shifting from pale blush pink to deeper, richer pink shades.
Because Sakura is slightly translucent, the final result is especially beautiful on porcelain, where the light clay body enhances its soft, luminous quality.
Suitable for high-fired stoneware and porcelain. Best results are achieved on porcelain.
Recommended Firing Range
1240–1280°C / ≈ 2264–2336°F
Cone 7–9 equivalent
Lead-free • Cadmium-free
Mixing Guidelines
IMPORTANT:
You MUST mix the entire dry bag at once.
Because this glaze is hand-blended, partial mixing can cause uneven ingredient distribution and inconsistent firing results.
Mixing
Mix with water at a 0.7:1 water-to-powder ratio.
100 g powder → 70 ml water
500 g powder → 350 ml water
2500 g powder → 1750 ml water
Add the powder to the water and mix thoroughly. Sieve once before use for a smooth, consistent glaze.
Coverage
The 100 g sample pack is enough to glaze approximately 2 medium-sized matcha bowls or 4 small cups or plates.
The 500 g pack will cover approximately 10–20 pieces, depending on the size of the pieces and thickness of application.
