"MADLY BRIGHT PINK" — Glaze Powder
A highly decorative special-effect glaze that reveals a dynamic play of colour and texture in the firing.
When applied thick, the surface develops into a rich bright pink–violet, with depth and softness. In thinner areas, the glaze shifts into cool blue tones, creating natural variation across the form.
The surface forms a dense crystalline texture, giving it a more matte, softly mineral finish rather than a glossy shine. This micro-crystal structure catches light gently, adding quiet movement and complexity.
A glaze for those who enjoy variation, layering, and kiln alchemy — each piece emerging slightly different, shaped by thickness, form, and fire.
Recommended Firing Range
1240–1280°C / ≈ 2264–2336°F
Cone 7–9 equivalent
Lead-free • Cadmium-free
Suitable for high-fired stoneware and porcelain.
SAMPLE glaze package — 100 g (≈ 3.5 oz / 0.22 lb)
To prepare, add water at approximately a 1:1 ratio.
This sample size is enough for testing on one test tile and a few small pieces.
Sold in Powder Form Only
Mixing Guidelines
Begin with a 1:1 water-to-powder ratio.
Sieve thoroughly.
Adjust with a small amount of extra water until the glaze reaches your preferred consistency.
IMPORTANT:
You MUST mix the entire dry bag at once.
Because this glaze is hand-blended, partial mixing can cause uneven ingredient distribution and inconsistent firing results.
Yield reference:
500 g (≈ 1.1 lb) → approx. 800 ml (≈ 27 fl oz) liquid glaze.
Safety Warning
This glaze contains Barium Carbonate, which is toxic in its raw form. Avoid inhalation or ingestion.
Not recommended for functional (food-contact) surfaces.
For functional ware, use this glaze on the exterior only, and apply a food-safe liner glaze inside.
