"SNOW" Glaze Powder — Matte-to-Gloss White (Thickness-Responsive)
A beautiful white glaze that shifts subtly from matte to glossy depending on application.
• Thin application → matte white
• Thicker application → glossy white
This is a highly responsive glaze whose final look depends on your technique, creating elegant natural variation. Photos shown on grey stoneware (Betongrau Sibelco).
Recommended Firing Range
1240–1260°C (Cone 7–8)
Suitable for high-fired stoneware.
Lead-free • Cadmium-free
Sold in Powder Form Only
Mixing Guidelines
Begin with 1:1 water-to-powder ratio.
Sieve thoroughly.
Add a little extra water if needed to reach your preferred consistency.
IMPORTANT:
You must mix the entire dry bag at once.
Because the glaze is hand-blended, ingredients are not perfectly uniform in small portions. Mixing only part of the bag will produce uneven results.
Yield reference:
500 g (≈ 1.1 lb) of dry powder makes approx. 800 ml (≈ 27 fl oz) of liquid glaze.
Application Methods
Apply an even coat using any method:
• dipping
• pouring
• brushing
• spraying
Firing, thickness, and clay body will influence the final matte/gloss balance.
WARNING — Safety Information
• Do not ingest.
• Wear gloves when mixing and applying.
• Keep away from eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Avoid dust and dried glaze residue — never sweep dry powder.
• Clean spills or dry glaze with a wet cloth only.
• Ensure good ventilation during firing.
