SERENDIPITY Glaze Powder — White Snowflakes to Opaque Finish

from €15.00

A glaze related to our STONE base, yet developing its own distinct character.

At lower temperatures, it reveals delicate white crystalline formations — tiny snowflake-like patterns that emerge across the surface. As the glaze is applied thicker, it begins to move more, shifting toward a softer, semi-opaque tone.

The surface carries a subtle shimmer, with crystalline movement reminiscent of northern lights drifting across the form.

Pictured here on dark grey stoneware. The final effect will vary depending on the clay body used.

This glaze is highly thickness-sensitive, rewarding potters who enjoy variation and kiln alchemy.

Recommended Firing Range

1240–1280°C
Cone 7–9 equivalent
Suitable for high-fired stoneware and porcelain.

Lead-free • Cadmium-free

Sold in Powder Form Only

Mixing Guidelines

  1. Start with 1:1 water-to-powder ratio.

  2. Sieve thoroughly.

  3. Add small amounts of water to refine thickness as needed.

Important:
Mix the entire dry bag at once — because the glaze is blended by hand, ingredients are not fully uniform until the full mix is slurried.

Yield example:
500 g (≈ 1.1 lb) of dry glaze = approx. 800 ml (≈ 27 fl oz) liquid glaze.

SAMPLE glaze package — 100 g (≈ 3.5 oz / 0.22 lb) dry weight
This sample size is enough for testing on test tiles and a few small pieces.
