An organic, sculptural stoneware bowl that feels closer to a small landscape than a conventional vessel — expressive, tactile, and deeply rooted in the philosophy of wabi-sabi.
This piece is handcrafted from high-fired stoneware and shaped with a natural, irregular silhouette that evokes geological forms and volcanic surfaces. The base remains natural vitrified stoneware, grounding the piece with a raw, earthy presence.
Inside, the bowl is finished with a rich bronze glaze that develops delicate crystalline patterns unique to each firing. Around the rim, a dramatic lava crater glaze forms a textured volcanic edge. The surface is intentionally rugged — strongly textured yet mostly pleasant to the touch — adding a powerful sculptural character to the piece.
The combination of bronze glaze and volcanic texture makes this bowl feel like a fragment of cooled lava or weathered mineral terrain.
More than a tableware piece, this is a specialty serving dish and display object — designed for spaces where objects carry meaning and presence.
