Make your own plates masterclass

€320.00

A beautiful opportunity for individuals, couples, families, or small teams — this masterclass invites you to create a set of handmade plates with the guidance of our studio.

In our light-filled Latvian countryside studio, you’ll design and shape functional ceramic plates that can become part of your daily rituals — or an heirloom set to pass forward.

Slow making, meaningful process, lasting results.

What We Make

You may choose one of the following projects:

  • A set of 4 dinner plates (Ø 25 cm)
    or

  • A set of 8 small cake plates (Ø 18 cm)

On average, one person can create four plates per hour — class timing will depend on the size of your group. The session may be extended if you’d like to create a full or larger set (extra plates, soup bowls, etc.).

Materials & Quality

We work with high-quality German stoneware — durable, refined, and suitable for everyday use.

All pieces are:

  • high-fired to 1260°C

  • food safe

  • dishwasher and microwave safe

  • strong enough for daily rituals

This is the same clay body and process used in our professional studio line.

Your plates will remain in the studio and go through a full ceramic process:

  1. Drying

  2. Bisque firing — 980°C

  3. Glazing in one of our signature glaze palettes

  4. Final firing — 1260°C

Finished work will be ready in approximately 4 weeks.

Pick-up is available from the studio, or we can arrange worldwide delivery.

Class Structure

  • Length: 1–2 hours

  • Group size: 4–20 persons

  • Price: starting from 40 € per plate
    (Minimum workshop total: 160 €)

At the beginning of the session, we will:

  • introduce the studio and materials

  • select glaze options

  • demonstrate the hand-building method

  • guide you step by step through the process

This is a clean hand-building technique — no wheel — so no change of clothing is necessary.

This masterclass is flexible and meaningful for many different occasions:

  • Friends creating a shared set

  • Families making a functional memory

  • Couples crafting their future dinnerware

  • Teams building connection through creation

  • Individuals wanting to make a personal, intentional set

  • A handmade gift with meaning — one plate made with intention

Your handmade plate-set is not only functional — it becomes a physical memory of the time spent together.

If you wish to create a full, custom dinnerware set — breakfast plates, lunch plates, soup bowls, tapas plates — or if you'd like us to help create a family seal stamp for marking your work, please contact us to arrange a longer or multi-session format.

A Creative Moment That Stays With You

Give yourself — or someone you love — the space to slow down, create with your hands, and shape something lasting.

The process unfolds step by step: calm, tactile, joyful.
As you work, you learn the rhythm of the material and the natural movement of your hands.

The plates you take home are not just objects — they are memories, connection, presence, and craftsmanship you’ve experienced yourself.

A beautiful way to begin a tradition — one that can be cherished, used daily, and passed forward.
