Earthling Collection "HOME" mug
The “HOME” mug is defined by its low, softly rounded silhouette — a form intentionally shaped to feel grounding, familiar, and intimate in the hands. More than a mug, it is a small vessel of comfort: steady, calm, and quietly reassuring.
Hand-thrown by Laima in our rural Latvian studio, each HOME mug honours the wabi-sabi philosophy, where organic asymmetry and gentle irregularities become part of its soul. Subtle variations in curve, glaze flow, and tactile texture ensure that no two pieces ever repeat — each one a lived poem in clay.
The 350 ml (≈ 12 oz) HOME mug is a beautifully balanced everyday size, ideal for:
• Lattes & cappuccinos
• Flat whites & specialty coffees
• Herbal infusions & loose-leaf teas
• Matcha latte & ceremonial cacao
• Chai, golden milk & winter brews
Match with our elongated oval saucer plate — 24 × 12 cm (≈ 9.4" × 4.7") — a simple, grounding companion for mindful mornings, slow tea moments, and cozy evening rituals.
Formed slowly on the wheel and refined by hand, this mug’s rounded, nestling silhouette retains warmth beautifully, inviting you to wrap both hands around it and pause. The surface is finished in a soft beige glaze with a delicate crystalline/crackle pattern — an organic landscape that shifts with light and touch.
This beloved Earthling glaze celebrates natural variation:
• Thicker glaze areas develop a gentle, glassy softness reminiscent of ash-fired surfaces
• Thinner sections reveal warm, earthy matte tones
• Fluid transitions between beige, cream, and crackled gloss
The Earthling Collection Story
Born during the stillness of the pandemic, the Earthling Collection reflects a return to simplicity, presence, and tactile authenticity. Organic silhouettes and gently undulating rims give each piece its sculptural, natural character.
Slight variations in size, gentle asymmetry, quiet shifts in tone, and organic rim movement are celebrated traces of human hands.
High-fired stoneware (1260°C) makes each piece strong, non-porous, and ready for everyday ritual use. Food-safe • Dishwasher safe • Microwave safe
Please allow 4–12 weeks making time as your vessel is formed, glazed and fired through a slow, intentional process that honours material, form and artisan rhythm.
Thank you for supporting slow, mindful craftsmanship and women-led studio.
