Moon Collection "BLOOM" cup
This contemporary mug with handle belongs to the MOON collection — defined by a luminous white “Snow” glaze paired with an expressive lava-glaze inlay — a quiet dialogue between purity and raw elemental force.
The lava glaze forms crater-like textures where minerals melt and settle, echoing cooled volcanic stone. Though visually rugged, the inlay remains pleasant under the fingers, offering a tactile experience with natural heat resistance.
Here, function meets poetry: the smooth white glaze ensures everyday usability, while the lava inlay adds sculptural texture that stays comfortable, durable, and dishwasher-friendly. The balance between art and function feels seamless — a piece that lives beautifully in daily ritual.
Entirely handmade by Laima on the pottery wheel, each form becomes its own small landscape. The white glaze shifts between matte and soft gloss, while the volcanic inlay cuts through the surface like moonlight over dark rock — textured, tactile, and quietly dramatic.
These minimal, organic-looking cups are carefully thrown on the pottery wheel by me, Laima, in our rural Latvian studio — where time moves slowly and each piece is formed with presence and intention.
With its classic open silhouette, the “BLOOM” cup is perfect for latte art, cappuccinos, and slow morning coffee moments.
An open, flower-like form defines the "BLOOM" cup — spacious through the body, widening at the top, and finished with a quiet inward tuck at the rim. Bright and airy, a true summer shape, yet still grounded by its softly contained edge.
Capacity: ~250 ml / ~8.5 oz
Height: ~8 cm
Diameter: ~10 cm
These cups honour the philosophy of wabi-sabi — embracing imperfection, asymmetry, and the quiet beauty of the handmade. Subtle variations, glaze drips, small spots, and colour shifts are not flaws, but delicate signatures of authenticity and fire.
A functional object, yet poetic and timeless addition to your daily rituals.
By purchasing this piece, you are supporting a small yet powerful two-women collective — Laima & Oksana — working quietly and passionately in the deep countryside of Latvia. Your support keeps slow craftsmanship alive, and for that, we thank you wholeheartedly.
A cup to cradle warmth, to steady the breath, to turn the everyday into ritual.
