SPA IN CROATIA

Handmade Ceramics for Spa Rituals

A large spa opening in Poreč, Croatia, chose a collection of handmade pieces for their treatment rooms, rituals, and entrance spaces — all made in our rural Latvian studio.

This bespoke spa collection includes:

Stone-glazed teapots paired with our signature SHELL cups, presented on 30 cm DUNE serving platters with elevated edges

SHELL tumblers and DUNE plates in multiple sizes for spa service and presentation

Pebble jars for guests to safely store jewellery during treatments

Tiny Pebble bowls arranged on DUNE platters for body scrubs and ritual preparations

Each piece was thoughtfully adapted to support daily spa operations while maintaining a calm, tactile, and grounded aesthetic.

New Ceramic Designs Developed for Hospitality Use

This project also led to the creation of new ceramic forms:

  • Ritual oil pouring jugs — our classic Dorothy jug, developed in a taller format for professional spa use

  • Large bronze ceramic bowls (Ø 46 cm, H 15 cm), designed as vessels for spa rituals

  • A new Pebble bowl size developed specifically as inhalation bowls for steam and aromatherapy treatments

These pieces expand our hospitality range, combining durability, ergonomics, and sculptural presence.

A project like this is exactly why we love custom hospitality work — functional ceramics becoming part of atmosphere, ritual, care, and memory.

To complete the experience, a series of Moon Tree vases was created for the spa’s entrance — bringing a quiet, organic presence and reinforcing the connection between nature, material, and space.

Bespoke Ceramics for Hotels, Spas & Restaurants

At Laima Ceramics, we work closely with hospitality projects to develop custom handmade ceramics tailored to their concept and use.

From spa accessories and ritual objects to restaurant tableware and interior pieces, each collaboration is rooted in:

– Functional design for professional environments
– High-fired stoneware durability (≈1260°C / 2300°F)
– Natural, tactile finishes inspired by wabi-sabi aesthetics
– Small-batch or scalable production options

We believe ceramics are not just objects — they are part of how a space feels, how a ritual unfolds, and how a guest remembers the experience.
