New Collection - Wabi Sabi Rocks - Spring 2023
There comes a moment when the hands grow weary of constant refinement. When the perfectionist within finally exhales and allows something wilder to emerge.
For me, that moment arrived after a long winter of hibernation. A quiet season of introspection that gently revealed a need to release the endless smoothing, correcting, polishing. I simply wanted to stop trying to make everything perfect.
And so, in a spontaneous act of liberation, I threw my freshly formed clay pieces against a rock.
What followed was not destruction — but discovery.
The raw imprints left by stone, the unpredictable fractures, the textures carved by impact — all felt profoundly right. Honest. Uncontrolled. Alive. And from this moment, the Wabi Sabi Rocks collection was born.
Each piece carries the unique memory of that collision — a physical dialogue between clay and earth, between intention and surrender. No two surfaces are the same. No edge seeks symmetry. Each form is shaped by chance, gravity, and the quiet poetry of imperfection.
This collection embraces the essence of Wabi Sabi — the beauty of transience, irregularity, and authenticity. It honours the scar, the asymmetry, the raw mark left behind, not as flaw but as story.
Wabi Sabi Rocks is not about perfection.
It is about presence.
It is about letting go.
And finding beauty exactly there.
