STONE Glaze EBOOK (Digital Recipe Download)
This e-book brings together the original STONE finish alongside its variations in Green, Blue, Beige, Yellow, and multiple shades of Grey, forming a complete glaze vocabulary that has become foundational to our studio practice.
Our signature STONE glaze appears as a soft, earthy beige when applied thinly, shifting into a glossy, ash-like surface where the glaze pools more deeply. At the threshold between matte and gloss, delicate crystalline blooms emerge — subtle, light-catching formations that echo the quiet complexity of natural ash glazes.
On darker stoneware bodies such as Anthrazit, the glaze reveals even greater depth: pale, shimmering crystalline movement reminiscent of northern lights drifting across the surface.
Once you purchase a glaze recipe, you will receive a secure link via email which will allow you to download a PDF file with the information you need to reproduce the glaze, including a recipe, a firing schedule, and some notes.
Lead-free • Cadmium-free
RECOMMENDED FIRING RANGE
1240–1280°C (2264–2336°F)
Cone 7–9
Suitable for high-fired stoneware and porcelain.
A studio favorite with endlessly beautiful variations
This glaze is highly thickness-sensitive, rewarding potters who enjoy variation and kiln alchemy:
• Thin application → matte beige
• Thick application → glossy ash-like surface (some pin holing may appear when applied too thick)
• Transition areas → fine crystalline development
No two firings ever look exactly the same — that’s the magic of STONE.
This is my staple studio glaze, used across many collections.
