Matte Lemon & Matte Violet Glazes — Dry Powder
Soft, modern matte colours developed from the same base family as SILKY, offering a velvety surface perfect for porcelain. These two glazes bring subtle yet expressive colour to clean, minimalist forms.
Select from:
• LEMON — Matte Yellow Glaze
• VIOLET — Matte Violet Glaze
Both glazes pair beautifully with white porcelain, producing soft, powdery surfaces that feel refined, contemporary, and tactile.
Recommended Firing Range
1250–1290°C (≈ 2282–2354°F)
Cone 8–10 equivalent
I especially recommend these glazes for porcelain.
Lead-free • Cadmium-free
Sold in powder form only
Mixing Guidelines
Begin with a 1:1 water-to-powder ratio.
Sieve thoroughly.
Add small amounts of extra water to achieve your preferred consistency.
IMPORTANT:
You MUST mix the entire dry bag at once.
Because the glaze is blended by hand, partial mixing can lead to uneven ingredient distribution and inconsistent results.
Yield reference:
500 g (≈ 1.1 lb) dry glaze → approx. 800 ml (≈ 27 fl oz) liquid glaze.
Application Notes
• Suitable for dipping, brushing, pouring, or spraying.
• Apply an even layer for best results.
• Works beautifully on bright white porcelain bodies, where the colour appears clean and saturated.
Safety Warning
• Do not ingest.
• Wear gloves when mixing and applying.
• Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if it occurs.
• Prevent glaze dust — never sweep dry powder; use a wet cloth only.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during firing.
