Glaze Recipe EBOOK for Porcelain — VOLUME 2 (Digital Download)
7 Signature Studio Glazes (Digital Download)
It took me a while to gather myself and finally share these — my all-time favourite porcelain glazes, the ones that have shaped the core of my studio practice. This collection is small but powerful, featuring glazes I return to again and again because they simply never disappoint.
Included in this volume:
• GALAXY — a spectacular green-blue-gold crystalline glaze, thickness-sensitive and utterly magical
• Luminescent Pearl Trio —
• Green Gold
• Matte Pink
• Matte Crystals (for that matte crystalline effect)
• Three matte glaze variations derived from one beloved base:
• Silky White
• Sahara Matte Beige
• Moss Green
Every glaze in this eBook has earned its place through years of use, refinement, and the joy of opening a kiln to something beautiful.
Firing Range
Cone 7–9
1240–1280°C / 2264–2336°F (oxidation, electric firing)
FAQ — Do These Glazes Work on Stoneware?
Possibly!
These recipes were primarily tested on porcelain, because the colours, depth, and textures looked especially beautiful on that clay body.
However, many of them can work on stoneware — it’s absolutely worth testing, as the results may shift in tone, texture, or melt.
Glaze Ingredient Overview
Most recipes use at least three of these eight foundational glaze materials:
Ball Clay
China Clay
Potash Feldspar
Cornish Stone
Nepheline Syenite
Dolomite
Flint
Whiting
Colourants & Additional Materials Included in the Recipes
Bentonite
Talc
Magnesium Carbonate
Titanium Dioxide
Wollastonite
Zinc Oxide
Zirconium Silicate
Lithium Carbonate
Strontium Carbonate
Silicon Carbide
Tin Oxide
Copper Carbonate
Cobalt Carbonate
Copper Oxide
Iron Oxide
Nickel Oxide
Ilmenite
These materials modify colour, create crystal growth, encourage matte or glossy surfaces, and help produce the signature effects of these special porcelain glazes.
