A softly luminous matte beige glaze designed especially for porcelain.
“Sahara” brings a silky, powder-soft matte surface, warm and desert-calm. When applied thicker, subtle glossy blush-pink and winter-frost highlights may appear—tiny wonderland areas that catch the light and give your work dimension. A beautifully stable, elegant matte glaze that enhances the smoothness and refinement of porcelain bodies.
1240–1280 °C (Cone range 6–8, approx. 2260–2336 °F). For best results, we recommend staying within this firing window.
Sold in powder form only.
Begin with a 1:1 ratio of powder to water.
Mix the entire dry batch at once — because we blend glazes by hand, ingredients are not uniformly distributed, and partial mixing will result in uneven glaze performance.
After adding water, sieve the mixture, then adjust with small amounts of additional water until you reach your desired viscosity.
As a reference: 500 g (1.1 lb) of dry glaze yields approximately 800 ml (27 oz) of liquid glaze.
Simple process: Add water → mix → sieve → glaze your pieces.
Do not ingest.
Wear protective gloves while mixing and applying.
Avoid contact with eyes; if exposure occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Avoid inhaling powder or dry glaze dust.
Clean spills or dried glaze with a wet cloth only — do not sweep or brush to prevent dust clouds.
Ensure proper ventilation during firing.
