Nebula Purple Glaze Powder

from €35.00

A highly decorative glaze that blooms into deep nebula-like purples, shifting with thickness, clay body, and firing atmosphere. Works beautifully on both porcelain and stoneware, producing rich cosmic tones and subtle surface movement.

This glaze is ideal for statement pieces, accents, and artistic work where variation and depth are celebrated.

Recommended Firing Range

1240–1280°C (≈ 2264–2336°F)
Cone 7–9 equivalent

Suitable for high-fired stoneware and porcelain.

Sold in Powder Form Only

Mixing Guidelines

  1. Begin with a 1:1 water-to-powder ratio.

  2. Sieve thoroughly.

  3. Add small amounts of water as needed to reach a smooth, even consistency.

IMPORTANT:
You must mix the entire dry bag at once.
The glaze is hand-blended, so partial mixing will result in uneven distribution of materials and unpredictable results.

Yield:
500 g (≈ 1.1 lb) of dry glaze → approx. 800 ml (≈ 27 fl oz) liquid glaze.

Application Notes

• Apply using dipping, brushing, pouring, or spraying.
• Works well as a single coat or layered for deeper purple tones.
• Variation will occur depending on thickness, clay body, and firing cycle — testing is recommended for your desired effect.

WARNING — Safety Information

• Do not ingest.
• Wear gloves when mixing and applying.
• Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if it occurs.
• Prevent glaze dust — never sweep dry powder; use a wet cloth only.
• Ensure proper ventilation during firing.
