Guided Visit to Laima Ceramics Studio

€6.00

Laima Ceramics is one of the most recognised ceramic studios in Latvia, and an important part of the revival of local craftsmanship, contemporary design, and culture in the Baltic region.

Founded in 2013, the studio emerged after Laima’s return to Latvia from studies in the United Kingdom. There, she developed a practice rooted in contemporary craft, enriched by Japanese aesthetics, material research, and a slow, mindful rhythm of making. These influences form the studio’s creative DNA: wabi-sabi, nature, materiality, and quiet presence.

Today, Laima Ceramics works on an international scale. The studio’s tableware and objects are sold in more than 100 retail locations across Europe, the United States, and worldwide. Laima Ceramics has also represented Latvia multiple times at national design stands at international exhibitions in Paris, New York, and Tokyo, acting as an ambassador of Latvian contemporary craft and design.

The studio collaborates with restaurants in Latvia and abroad, where its ceramic pieces become part of curated dining experiences. In addition, Laima Ceramics regularly hosts retreats, courses, and workshops for an international audience, welcoming participants from across the world.

Today, Laima Ceramics works can be found in Latvian homes and restaurants, as well as in private collections around the world. The pieces are characterised by simplicity, organic forms, and glazes shaped by earth and fire.
