Naborigama fired Teapot
This unique, wheel-thrown stoneware teapot carries the unmistakable character of Naborigama wood firing — a process where flame, ash, and atmosphere become collaborators in the final surface. Each teapot is finished with a sustainably harvested juniper wood handle, hand-shaped and wrapped with linen thread for a natural, grounded feel.
Two teapots are available, each one-of-a-kind and shown in the photos.
Matching 150 ml cups may be added to create a complete tea ritual set.
Crafted in a Naborigama Kiln
Fired in a reduction wood-fired Naborigama kiln in Salacgrīva, Latvia, these teapots carry surfaces created entirely by the path of flame.
In this traditional stepped-chamber kiln:
Wood ash floats through the chambers, settling naturally on the pots.
High heat and reduction atmosphere transform the ash into natural glaze.
Flames carve subtle markings, blushes, and gradients unique to each firing.
No surface is painted or glazed on the exterior — the finish is pure kiln alchemy, a record of heat, ash, and time.
