Porcelain tableware range in matte beige “Sahara”
Curiously, I have lived alongside this beige matte glaze for nearly ten years, using it only in small gestures — a cup here, a detail there — almost as if waiting for the right moment to truly understand its essence.
With SAHARA, that moment arrived.
This range is named after my young filly Sahara, born here on the farm — carrying the same softness, warmth, and quiet strength that lives within these pieces. Just like her, this collection feels grounded, calm, and naturally elegant.
The glaze has finally been given the space to reveal its true potential, unfolding into a full porcelain tableware range that feels both comforting and refined. Its gentle sandy tone and velvety matte surface echo desert horizons, sun-warmed earth, and the still beauty of open landscapes.
The forms follow my signature language of organic minimalism — soft curves, balanced proportions, and understated silhouettes that invite slow rituals and quiet appreciation. Plates and bowls are created using the slab-rolling method, allowing for spacious, open forms with subtle variations, while cups and teapots are shaped on the pottery wheel, carrying the rhythm and memory of the hand.
Each piece is an invitation into presence — to set the table with intention, to savour the everyday, and to find beauty in simplicity.
SAHARA feels like a long-awaited conversation finally spoken — a glaze, a form, and a name that were always meant to belong together.
